TIPS FOR IBPS PRELIMS 2015

For recruitment in Probationary Officer posts around the nation, Indian Banking Personnel Selection has invited applicants to apply for various banking posts. Candidates need to undergo preliminary and mains examination to get through to the interview in the PO exams to finally get selected for the candidature. The preliminary examination for this year IBPS in scheduled to begin from October 3, 2015. The candidates, who have registered themselves for the examinations, now need to strengthen their preparation and start working on their written examination skills.

There would be three sections in a paper consisting of 100 questions in the preliminary examination with 1 hour time for the candidates to solve them. The questions would be multiple choices and the difficulty level would be moderate to easy than the main one. There would be English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability sections in the paper containing 100 marks in total.

TIPS FOR IBPS PRELIMS 2015:

1. Getting back to basics: The key to success in the prelims examination is to get back to the basics of the subjects that would appear in the paper. The level of questions would be from 9th to 10th standard and the basic mathematical operations and general English could be well absorbed once the candidates reprise their basic skills learnt in those classes.

2. Study with Practice Sets: There are links and websites along with host of competitive books, offering free practice sets to work out with. Those candidates who are interested in preparing in a manner the examination questions are set, can access these practice sets. These sets offer an insight on the exact way of approaching the questions in a stipulated time frame, making it easier for the candidates to prepare for the same.

3. Look for Tricks: The key to success in any competitive examination is to look for tricks and methods to solve questions in a short span. This would allow the candidates to complete the paper and score more so that the chance of getting through to the mains examinations gets extended. There are tricks related to solving questions in quantitative aptitude that could be found in books, journals, magazines, websites and web journals related to competitive examinations.

4. Subject specific studies: The candidates need to set a small goal for themselves and target for the prelims examination. They should immerse themselves in the subject specific studies for hassle free exam in the prelims round and later prepare for the mains, once they get selected through the first round.
